Huisvesting & verzorging
Een vogelkooi moet genoeg ruimte bieden om de vleugels volledig te kunnen strekken, met meerdere zitstokken op verschillende hoogtes. Vogels houden van variatie, dus een mix van houten stokken, touw en speelaccessoires zorgt voor mentale en fysieke uitdaging. Vergeet niet: elke dag vers water, grit en kwalitatief voer is essentieel.
Ventilatie is belangrijk, maar plaats de kooi niet in de tocht en niet direct in het felle zonlicht.
Voeding
De juiste voeding verschilt per soort, maar bestaat meestal uit een basis van zaden of pellets, aangevuld met groente, stukjes fruit en af en toe een gezonde snack zoals ei-mix. Avocado, chocolade en koffie zijn giftig voor vogels.
